To be honest I am a little scared today. Coming up with questions to frame the topic in a short tweet is hard, because I really don't want to accidentally prompt someone to debate the need for diverse and inclusive romance, because I don't want to debate it and while we are seeing more, we still need a lot more. As a Latina, I sometimes want to ask, Do you see me? Because it is still so rare for me see myself in romance novels. Diverse and inclusive representation, #OwnVoices & Marginalized authors aren't the same thing but pieces of bigger solution.
These are some of the authors consistently help me see more, more of me and just more: Alyssa Cole, Alisha Rai, Beverly Jenkins, Jeannie Lin, Sabrina Sol, Ruby Lang, Alexis Hall, Vanessa North, Cat Sebastian.
